SynTox™ is SynVivo’s advanced toxicology-on-a-chip platform, designed for multi-cellular, multi-organ applications including lung, liver, cardiac, and vasculature-on-a-chip models. By recreating native 3D tissue microenvironments with perfused vasculature under dynamic flow and shear stress, SynTox™ enables human-relevant in vitro toxicology testing that delivers more predictive results than traditional 2D systems or animal models.

Human and Animal Cells/Cell Lines

Toxicity evaluation in liver-on-a-chip systems requires more than hepatocytes alone. Drug-induced liver injury (DILI), fibrosis, metabolic dysfunction, and chronic toxicity all involve interactions between hepatocytes and hepatic stellate cells (HSCs). Together, they recreate a complete toxicity spectrum—early metabolic injury → chronic fibrosis.
